Dialing Up Space Talk at SXSW

Aerospace leaders and experts bridged key themes of sustainability, workforce diversity and future innovations for space to new audiences at the 2023 South by Southwest (SXSW) conference.

❶ Via Van Liew (The Aerospace Corporation), Eileen Drake (Aerojet Rocketdyne), Steve Isakowitz (The Aerospace Aerospace) and Robert Wright (Stellar Solutions) discussed the Space Workforce 2030 pledge at the Capital Factory incubator in downtown Austin, Texas, during SXSW.

❷ Dr. Debra Emmons (The Aerospace Corporation) led a panel with space experts Dr. Moriba Jah (Privateer Space), Luc Riesbeck (Astroscale U.S.), and Nehal Gajjar (iMetalx) highlighting emerging innovations for space debris removal.

❸ Luc Riesbeck (Astroscale U.S.), Marlon Sorge (The Aerospace Corporation), Ilsa Mroz (Aerospace Industries Association) and Therese Jones (Satellite Industry Association) discussed the future of orbital sustainability and addressed the space junk challenge.

❹ Camille Elizabeth Bergin (The Galactic Gal), Kenneth Harris II (The Aerospace Corporation), Scott Willoughby (Northrop Grumman), and Loren Grush (Bloomberg) discussed the incredible images and innovations made possible by the JWST.
