MAGNUM PI Season 4 Release Confirmed for Fall 2021 by CBS: Jay Hernandez Returns as Thomas Magnum

Hey, guys! As the third season of Magnum PI finished airing on May 7, we are excited to inform you that CBS has officially renewed Magnum PI for Season 4! The third season episode count had to be cut down to 16 due to COVID-related production delays, but Season 4 of Magnum PI, which is slated for Fall 2021 release, is expected to go back to the original order of 20 episodes. Magnum PI was renewed together with a handful of other hit CBS shows, including Blue Bloods starring Tom Selleck, who played the character of Thomas Magnum in the original Magnum PI series, which aired from 1980 to 1988, and, by the way, consistently ranked in the top-20 shows in the US. Compared to the original, the reboot starring Jay Hernandez delivers more modest viewership numbers, averaging just around 5.6 million viewers per episode in the third season. The audience feedback has also been lukewarm, with a below average approval score of 5.8 out of 10 on IMDb. Still, CBS decided to give the show another chance with a Season 4 renewal.
