CALL THE MIDWIFE Series 11 Release Set for 2022 + More Surprising Great News!

Hey, guys! As Series 10 of Call the Midwife just wrapped up on May 30, we have great news for the fans! BBC announced the renewal of Call the Midwife for Season 11. In fact, the hit British drama series was renewed for Series 11 back in March 2019, a day after Series 9 finished airing and BBC ordered two more seasons. But that is NOT all the good news. Two weeks before the premiere of Season 10, and having already renewed the series for Season 11, BBC delighted fans with the news that it has commissioned Seasons 12 and 13 as well. This incredible vote of confidence means that Call the Midwife will be on air at least through 2024. Wow! As the show will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary in January 2022, series creator Heidi Thomas continues to lead the writing team. “It’s an incredible privilege to be able to look back on a decade of Call The Midwife, and yet know that our journey is still very far from over,” she said recently. Series 11, 12 and 13 will all be comprised of 8 episodes each plus a Christmas Special for each series. As Seasons 10 and 11 have taken viewers to late 60s, it is very likely that with Series 12 the plot will finally cross over into the 70s.
