'Be back? No.': Ancelotti laughs off idea of Chelsea return and backs Lampard

The Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti laughed off rumours of a possible return to Chelsea as manager, saying: "Be back? No, I hope Lampard will be able to do a fantastic job with them."

Ancelotti managed Lampard at the Blues and called their current interim manager a 'fantastic, extraordinary professional' before the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final between the sides on Wednesday night in Spain.

Ancelotti spent two years as Chelsea boss between 2009-11, winning a domestic double in his first season in charge. 'He [Lampard] perfectly knows what can happen in this kind of game and knows how to prepare a team for that, so our different experience won't make a difference here," Ancelotti said of preparing to face Lampard's side.
