Essential supplies have officially reached Haka, Chin State, after key transport routes connecting Kalay, Falam, Tiddim, Tonzang, and Haka were reopened on 21 May 🇲🇲🚛
According to reports, vehicles carrying food, consumer goods, medicines, school textbooks, stationery, and construction materials successfully arrived in the region following the reopening of major road links. The convoy, accompanied by departmental officials, was warmly welcomed by local residents with traditional drum performances, flower garlands, and auspicious branches.
Authorities stated that the reopening of the routes aims to restore stability, improve transportation, and support the daily needs of local communities. Residents had previously faced shortages of essential goods, rising prices, and transportation difficulties due to disrupted road access along the Kalay-Falam-Haka route.
Officials added that the newly arrived supplies will support local livelihoods, healthcare services, education, and reconstruction efforts, while passenger and cargo transport services have now resumed along the reopened routes.
