The 5th Myanmar-Philippines Foreign Policy Consultations were held in Manila, co-chaired by senior officials from both countries. The two sides discussed ways to strengthen diplomatic relations and expand cooperation in key areas such as trade, investment, energy, and efforts to combat transnational crime. They also emphasized promoting stronger people-to-people connections and enhancing regional stability through ASEAN cooperation.
Both sides exchanged views on Myanmar’s current political developments, regional security concerns, and global issues including ongoing conflicts and their wider impact. The meeting reaffirmed mutual interest in deepening engagement and supporting peaceful development and collaboration in the region.
