Humpback Whale Visits our Boat in SE Alaska!!!

In 2011, a humpback whale chose our boat to investigate and explore. It was such an exciting experience for the 4 of us aboard. We'd been watching a breaching whale from a safe and legal distance, when the 2 whales surprised us by coming near our boat. Our motor was off and we were drifting quietly at the time. The more active of the two swam away while this one stayed and swam around and under our boat for over 30 minutes. It was incredible! This happened in the waters near Coffman Cove, Alaska on Prince of Wales Island. We were on the Inside Passage on a beautiful summer day in a 24 ft. Hewescraft. I still am in awe of the experience! I have more videos of the encounter and lots of photos. It was AMAZING!!!!
