IBM Scientist Dr. Maria Gabrani: How a childhood illness inspired her career
Maria is a Research Staff Member at IBM Research-Zurich since 2001. Her research has mostly focused on image processing and pattern recognition techniques, used to extract meaningful information from data in different application areas, from computationally lithography to drug discovery. Currently she is focusing on the development of methods and tools to analyze histopathological and gene expression images for clinical purposes.
