Technology History: "Television: How It Works" original 1952 film (Vintage TV, Broadcasting)
Vintage Television 1952. A great informational film explaining “HOW TELEVISION WORKS.” With some digital restoration edits, this easy-to-watch gives a nice overview of the technology behind broadcast television and early CRT based television sets. Filmed in WGN studios in Chicago. Film shows the Camera tube (Image Orthicon), CRT picture tube, TV control room, TV signal transmission and more. Run time 10 minutes. half of which were found in just ten major cities:
New York – 2,930,000
Los Angeles – 1,155,000
Chicago – 1,125,000
Philadelphia – 1,032,000
Boston – 886,000
Detroit – 650,000
Cleveland – 605,000
Pittsburgh – 408,000
St. Louis – 391,000
Baltimore – 380,000
