Alec is attending college full time, but is battling bone cancer. His wish was to meet me, and I really wanted to meet him.

Alec played baseball in high school. One day he was running sprints with his team and his leg was sore. As he was running, his bone broke. The tumor had been eating away at the bone for sometime and had weakened the bone significantly. A few days later, he was informed of the cancer and quickly started treatment.

He’s been through fourteen rounds of chemo! Eventually, his tumor was shrunk so that they could remove it. Through it all he attended college full time and has goals to graduate on time. He’s been cancer free for about a year now! Alec talks about how he has shifted his mindset and focuses on being positive and thankful.

Alec and I got to spent the day together, so I showed him around the office, some renovation properties, and my new house! Alan’s story is so inspiring and it just put life in perspective for me.
