Hello guys. In this video, I bring to you a very nice city walk (Virtual Walking Tour) in Altstadt Spandau (Own Town Spandau) here in Berlin. Altstadt Spandau is the historic center of the Spandau neighborhood.
The city itself was first mentioned on 7 March 1232 and
the first church was documented in 1240.
This means we have a lot of history here.

You can see a lot of historical special places in this virtual walking tour, like the Gothic House "Gotisches Haus" (the oldest preserved house in the entire Berlin), the very charming Hotel Benn, the St. Nikolai Church "St. Nikolai-Kirche" and also the Monument Elector Joachim II. We cannot forget the super old theater called Theater Varianta. We will also go through the "Remains of the city wall", a piece that has been preserved until today. Close to the wall, we have the Old Kolkschänke "Alte Kolkschänke", a very old pub that was built in 1743 and today is being renovated. And to complete our virtual walking tour, we ended up at St. Marien Church "St. Marienkirche". After St. Hedwig's Cathedral on Bebelplatz, St. Mary's Church is the second oldest Roman Catholic church in Berlin. The official inauguration of the current church was on June 21, 1848, and an extensive renovation took place in 2002.
If you visit Berlin one day, make sure to do this beautiful tour, the easiest way to get here is by Spandau train station or by subway line 7 "U-Bahn 7". If you like history, you can't leave this place out when you come to Berlin. It's definitely worth it. Highly recommended.
