Week 10 Day 1 Marathon Training | Brutal Texas Heat Speed Workout 🏃‍♂️🔥

Hey, I’m Andrew — welcome back to The Daily Run!

Today’s workout was in Austin, TX 🤠🌵 at The University of Texas (Go Buckeyes! ❤️🤍). I was here with the fam moving my brother into school, and let’s just say this one pushed me to the limit.

Here’s the breakdown:
• 🏃‍♂️ 2-mile warm-up
• 🚶‍♂️ 90-second walking rest
• ⚡️ 5 x 1K (.62 miles) @ 5:55/mi pace with 90-second walking rests between
• 🧘‍♂️ 1.4-mile conversational pace cool down

We didn’t start until it was nearly 90°F 🥵 — easily one of the hardest runs of training so far. But I know these brutally hot runs in the dog days of summer are the ones that make the difference. They’re the miles that will carry me through the final stretch on October 19th in Columbus, OH 🏅.

These are the runs that make you feel alive ✨ and remind you how lucky we are to be able to run.

Hit that subscribe button 🔔 and I’ll see you tomorrow for another daily run!
