A cold start with patchy frost in places and very strong winds in the southwest, especially around coasts and hills. Low cloud lingers along North Sea coasts, most stubborn across northern and northeast Scotland. Elsewhere it’s largely dry and bright, with sunshine turning a bit hazy later and temperatures rising, though a keen easterly wind keeps it feeling cool in eastern areas. -This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the morning of 22/04/2026.
