WHO requests information about respiratory illness spike in China’s youth population

The World Health Organization (WHO) has asked China for information about a mysterious respiratory illness that is impacting children in the country’s northern region.

The agency requested more information about the nature of the infection as China prepares for its first winter since it lifted its COVID-19 restrictions earlier this year.
