Beat the Heat Webinar: Lessons Learned From the Fastest Warming County in the Nation and How You Can Ensure Neighbors Are Safe When Temperatures Rise
Did you know Ventura County is warming faster than almost anywhere else in the United States? Hear how this impacts those on the frontlines of heat, and find out what we’ve learned locally and nationally about what cities and individuals can do to address this urgent issue. You’ll learn how each of us can mobilize to protect those most at risk -- from farm workers to the youth. We will also share broader solutions aimed at knitting a tighter social fabric, such as neighborhood-based resource centers where community members can get the help they need when extreme heat hits.

Since 1970, CEC has incubated and innovated real life solutions that directly impact climate change. Our programs lead to clean vehicles, solar energy, resilient food systems and reduction of single-use plastic. We educate and activate the community by producing events like the annual Santa Barbara Earth Day Festival.
CEC advances rapid and equitable solutions to the climate crisis. See our impact report to learn how we are serving California’s Central Coast: cecsb.org/impact
