Two New Bald Eagle Eggs at DC Eagle Cam

Last nesting season saw a disruption in the nest of bald eagles Mr. President and The First Lady in the National Arboretum in DC. A young female visitor decided she liked not only the nest but also Mr. P. so she decided to stay. After an attempt to drive the visitor off TFL left and wasn't seen again in the area. After the visitor arrived back to the nest with Mr. P. this season she was given the name Lotus (Lady of the United States). Mating and nestorations began and the waiting game began to see if Lotus would produce the first bald eagle eggs this nest has seen in a while. The wait ended on February 17th when Lotus laid the first of two eggs!
