How to replace PCB in the Superfan BLDC ceiling fan?

Tutorial video on replacing the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) present inside Superfan. Troubleshooting Superfan is much simpler than a conventional ceiling fan. A step-by-step guide to install a new electronic drive on a Superfan:
Your superfan has been designed to be easily serviceable. The following guide walks you through the steps of the repair. In case of assistance our customer care would love to assist you, please call 9498056600 (working hours: 9 am to 6 pm)

Tools required:
1. Tester
2. Phillips head screwdriver( Star head) -1/4” inches
3. Flathead screwdriver – 4mm
4. Nose plier (optional)

Preparation:
Please take the following precautions while removing the Superfan from the ceiling.
1. Use a stable stool or ladder to access the Superfan.
2. Verify that the input supply to the Superfan is OFF or disconnected.
3. Superfan weighs about 3kg, hold the fan by gripping the down rod on one hand, and another supporting the bottom of the motor.
4. Place the Superfan on a soft surface and ensure the blades are not touching the surface.

Follow the video tutorial along with this guide:
1. Pull out the Superfan Logo (IR sensor cover) using a flat head screwdriver or tester from the motor.
2. You can find a plastic strip connector on top of the motor, attached to the motor shaft. Disconnect the Phase (red) and Neutral (black) wires from the strip connector. The strip connector is the plastic connector on top of the motor.
3. Unscrew the strip connector from the motor shaft.
4. Dismantle the motor’s top cover by unscrewing all the three screws.
5. Remove the top cover of the motor, now you will see a green electronic drive board (PCB board) attached to the bottom.
6. Disconnect the U, V, W (Red, Yellow, and Blue) wires from the terminal connector. The terminal connector is a plastic connector, seen on the corner of the electronic drive board.
7. Pull out the Phase (Red) and Neutral (Black) wires from the bottom of the motor shaft.
8. Remove the IR connector by removing the wires plugged in. The IR connector can be found on the board close to the shaft.
9. After disconnecting the wires, pull out the IR board using a tester and slowly remove the IR board (small whiteboard at the face of the motor) along with its connecting wires.
10. Unlock the PCB board by rotating and unlocking from the shaft. Remove the PCB board from the motor. A small plastic lock that locks the PCB board with the motor shaft. By turning the PCB in either one of the directions, it unlocks the PCB from the motor shaft.
11. Insert the new board. Hold the board on the edges to avoid static discharge.
12. Rotate the new board to lock the PCB into the motor shaft. Fit the plastic lock into the motor shaft by rotating the board.
13. Connect the U (Red), V (Yellow), and W (Blue) wires of the motor in the right order to the terminal connector, ref step 6.
14. Insert the IR board to the motor by inserting the wires through the motor shaft hole.
15. Connect the IR board to the connector such that the pins are connected in the right direction.
16. Insert the Phase (Red) and Neutral (Black) wires inside the shaft and pull the wires out through the top.
17. Ensure the wires are away from the motor covers.
18. Assemble the top cover and screw it (three screws).
19. Reassemble the strip connector and the Phase (red) and Neutral (black) wires. Ref step 2 to know about the strip connector.
20. Insert the Superfan logo and press lock it. Ensure all the three press locks are aligned to the press locks found in the motor’s bottom cover.
