In my Premium guitar course, Rhythm Foundations (Published early May 2017), I use rhythm blocks as the foundation to creating and playing any strumming pattern intuitively without having to constantly count out the patterns.
I feel that it is very important to get to this stage of basic rhythmic fluency at as early of a stage in your guitar training as possible. Everything else will become so much easier.
I feel the rhythm block concept taught in this lesson is a fast way to get you to the point that you can hear any strumming pattern and instantly be able to play along intuitively without having to analyze what the pattern is. You will be able to do this because you can simply feel the rhythm.
After practicing these individual rhythm blocks you will be able to feel them as well whenever you hear them played in a popular song, your mind or wherever.
In my Rhythm Foundations course, I take this concept much further and show you how to apply it to single string riffs, add accents, dynamics etc... It is not a style specific course since these rhythm concepts are used in all style of guitar playing.
But just by watching and practicing this one lesson, I think you can accomplish a lot.
Enjoy!
