Sinterklaas (Sint Nicolaas) Intocht, Delft, Zaterdag 25 November 2023, Saint Nicholas Parade, Delft, Netherlands, as video-ed at location of the so-called Vrouwenregt street (Vrouwenregt probably translates best as Women's Rights, although it could refer to Vrouwe as in Abbey and the property rights of the land). The parade passes the rear of the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) and turns left into the Voldersgracht street (Voldersgracht meaning Volders Canal, Volder derived from vollen, a technique to make material /cloth out of wool). This year the parade featured more Zwarte Pieten (Black Petes) and also more acts than the previous year. Sinterklaas this year being transported by Horse & Carriage and I have it from reliable source because of his frailty and the risk of falling off his Schimmel (aka Grey Horse)!
