LIVE: Putin arrives in Riyadh for Saudi Arabia state visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Monday, October 14, to start his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Shortly after landing, the Russian President will head to Al-Yamama Palace in the country’s capital where he meets King Salman Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Vladimir Putin is also expected to take part in the inaugural meeting of the Russian-Saudi Economic Council.

Putin is to continue his Middle East state call with a visit to the United Arab Emirates on October 15.

11.00 GMT – Protocol meeting with the King

11.10 GMT – Protocol meeting of Russian and Saudi business representatives
