UAE: Putin arrives in Abu Dhabi on first visit since 2007

Russian President Vladimir Putin landed at the Abu Dhabi International Airport on Tuesday, to begin his first official visit to United Arab Emirates in 12 years.

The Russian leader was welcomed at the airport by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.

Later the two leaders are due hold bilateral talks to discuss prospects of cooperation between the two countries, in addition to signing of bilateral trade agreements.

On Monday Putin visited Saudi Arabia, where he met with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the capital Riyadh.
