If Objects Talked: Dr. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights Movement

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2021, the Museum and the Dallas Public Library share items from the Museum’s collections focusing on Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement. Educators Elyze Davis and Genevieve Kaplan discuss several objects and tell the stories behind them. View one of the Museum's latest acquisitions - a pen used by President Johnson to sign the 1964 Civil Rights Act, learn about the use of comic books during the Civil Rights Era and see posters from local and national civil rights groups.
