Born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle bone disease, baby Sandra was crying continuously and it took 8 months for her family to know that she is affected with Brittle bone disease. Breaking bones once in a while, Sandra grew up as a girl who was homeschooled. For Sandra, the disease could limit everything except her dreams. The desire to become a doctor made her live through the terrible pain and hysteria that she had to go through every once in a while. But, her friends and relatives have always discouraged her about her aspiration to become a doctor. When all of them used to say that she could not become a doctor in her life, Sandra always wanted to prove her talent and worth to the world which always discouraged her. Failing one attempt was a wake-up call to work extra hours for her and she toiled day and night for her dream. On her second attempt, Sandra cleared the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test with 60th rank in the PH category.
