F5 VLAN & Link Aggregation Group (LAG) || VLAN & SelfIP Configuration | f5 VLAN & LACP Configure ||
Step 1: Configure LACP (Link Aggregation)
Log in to the F5 BIG-IP Configuration utility.
Navigate to Network - Trunks and click Create.
Provide a name for the trunk and select the LACP protocol.
Add the desired interfaces to the trunk.
Configure any additional settings, such as LACP mode (active/passive) and load balancing method.
Click Finished to save the configuration.
Step 2: Create a VLAN
Go to Network - VLANs and click Create.
Provide a name for the VLAN and associate it with the previously created trunk.
Assign a tag ID if the VLAN is tagged, or leave it untagged for default VLANs.
Add self IPs as needed for the VLAN.
Click Finished to save.
Step 3: Assign VLANs to Traffic Groups
Navigate to Traffic Groups under the network settings.
Assign the VLANs to the desired traffic group for active/passive or active/active failover setups.
Step 4: Verify the Configuration
Check the LACP status under Network - Trunks to ensure all interfaces are active.
Verify VLAN connectivity using tools like ping or traceroute from the F5 system.
