Making a vector monitor Pt. 5: cathode driver & spot killer plus final tuning.
This is the fifth and last video about the construction of a complete 11" CRT monitor suitable for X-Y vector deflection to be used with Atari Asteroids arcade PCB.
This last part covers the cathode amplifier (Z amplifier) circuit and the spot killer circuit.
Last modifications and tuning of the other part of the circuits are also shown whenever they became necessary.
Timeline:
00:00 - Welcome
01:37 - Metal chassis
02:20 - Cathode amplifier
13:07 - It lives!
14:27 - Spot killer
19:37 - Linearity & geometry
27:36 - Final result
First part (how it all started and some theory about raster scan VS vector scan):

Second part (how can an ex-raster flyback be used without the old horizontal deflection circuit)
