Health protocols early on during this pandemic had forbidden close person-to-person contact, impacting personal care services such as hair salons, barbershops, etc. The singer and songwriter Rey Valera's paean to love and aging - Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko - suddenly came to mind. Not only did we wear our hair long, but we also stopped dyeing it.

Valera had a Valentine's Day concert in Toronto in February 2014. He also guested at a local music radio station, fielding questions from broadcasters Von Canton aka Martin Fries, and Ramon Estaris aka Lemon Jam.
