• ONE DREADED CRIMINAL/HASHIM BABA GANG ASSOCIATE NADEEM @ KALIYA ARRESTED BY SPECIAL STAFF, CENTRAL DISTRICT
• ONE SOPHISTICATED PISTOL (MADE IN USA), TWO COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS ALONG WITH ONE MAGAZINE & 14 LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED
• ARMS SUPPLY NEXUS EXPOSED WITH HIS ARREST.
• ACCUSED WAS PREVIOUSLY LINKED TO CHHENU & NASIR GANG, NOW ACTIVE FOR HASHIM BABA GANG
• ACCUSED INVOLVED IN 13+ CASES OF MCOCA, MURDER, ROBBERY, ARMS ACT, ETC. ACROSS DELHI, NIA & UTTAR PRADESH
• HE IS AN ACTIVE HISTORY SHEETER OF PS ZAFRABAD, NORTH-EAST DELHI
• ARREST MADE THROUGH PINPOINT TECHNICAL & MANUAL SURVEILLANCE.
In a high-stakes, intelligence-led midnight operation, the team of Special Staff, Central District executed a daring and precise operation, by arresteing one of the most dreaded & desperate sharpshooter/Hashim Baba gang associate, namely Nadeem @ Kaliya, R/o Jafrabad, Delhi, Age 41 years, before he could commit any crime.

With his apprehension, a sophisticated pistol (Made in USA) along with one magazine and 04 live cartridges was recovered from his possession. He is a habitual criminal and a history sheeter of PS Jafrabad, he has previously been associated with Nasir and Chhenu Gangs and is now an active shooter for the Hashim Baba gang. His arrest averted any violent act.

TEAM & OPERATION:
A dedicated team was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Rohit Kumar, I/C Special Staff including SI Omveer Tyagi, SI Rohit Rawal, SI Manoj, HC Manish, HC Munesh Sharma, HC Praveen, HC Amarjeet, HC Dhiraj, Ct Surender, Ct Lokender, Ct Surajpal, Ct Gaurav. The team worked under the overall supervision of Sh Rishi Singh, Addl. DCP, Central District. Team was regularly being briefed to keep a watch on criminals/persons who roams with arms and ammunition in the area for their dominance among people and criminals. Team have roped secret informers into the area to be the insider among criminals.

On 20.07.2025, secret information was received by the Special Staff, Central District, regarding the movement of notorious gangster and sharpshooter Nadeem @ Kaliya, known for multiple heinous crimes and violent activities in North-East Delhi.

At around 10:50 PM, a trap was laid near Gali Takhat Wali, near Shia Masjid, Suiwalan, where the informer identified the suspect. As the team approached to apprehend him, the accused drew a pistol from his waistband and aimed at the police, attempting to escape. The team showed exemplary courage and swiftly overpowered him without allowing any fire, despite a growing and hostile crowd.

Upon questioning, the apprehended accused disclosed his identity as Nadeem @ Kaliya R/o Jafrabad, Delhi. Upon search, a sophisticated pistol (Made in USA), 04 live cartridges, and one magazine were recovered. He could not produce any license or legal justification for the weapon. During sustained interrogation, Nadeem revealed his current hideout at Katra Abdul Wahid, Suiwalan, Chandni Mahal. Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 261/2025, u/s 25/27/54/59 Arms Act, PS Chandni Mahal, Central District, Delhi.
He had been first arrested by PS Welcome in 2005. In jail, he met Nasir gang members and became deeply involved in organized crime. He committed murder of Athar Abbas in 2017, joined the Hashim Baba gang, and began supplying arms, extorting traders, and spreading fear. Even after being booked under MCOCA, upon release in February 2025, he resumed illegal arms trafficking from UP, Bihar (Munger), etc.

He confessed to recently supplying weapons to many other criminals. Further at his instance, two more country made pistols & 10 live cartridges also recovered.
