Here's my initial reaction and breakdown for episode 8 of Lovecraft Country on HBO. The series follows war veteran Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors) as he travels from the Jim Crow South to his South Side of Chicago hometown in search of his missing father Montrose. Produced by Misha Green, Jordan Peele, and JJ Abrams Lovecraft Country takes an interesting look at how racism and horror can be scarier than one could think. Lovecraft Country airs on HBO on Sunday nights at 9PM EST.
