World's Biggest Hawaiian Cane Spider ATTACKS HOUSE

Giant Hawaiian Cane Spider is world's biggest. Mutated Angolan witch banana spider.
Is this finally photographic evidence of the rare Giant Hawaiian Cane Spider?

This story about a man living in Hawaii was shared on Facebook recently along with this frightening image.
Along with the image was this quote...
This morning I heard something climbing around on the outside of my townhouse. I thought maybe it was the maintenance people repairing the Hard plank siding, but when I got outside I saw this giant spider! The very rare Giant Hawaiian Cane Spider can grow up to six feet across. They are 'mostly harmless' but scary as hell.

don't tell me something that is 6 feet across and can spin a web around your car is mostly harmless. But scary as hell.”
I'm an arachnaphobe, this is only a 1mm long and is scary as hell 6 feet across is a Jurassic Park type dinosaur apocalypse.

Stories about the Giant Hawaiian Cane Spider say they are so big, that it has been known to eat cats and dogs and if you needed to kill it..like when its eating coco the cockapoo, it would take seveal bullets to do so...once again it's mostly harmless.

It's time for questions.

1. Are cane spiders real?-
2. How big can they grow and what's the largest spider on record?
3. What kind of jerk thinks a 6 foot wide 8 legged fanged spawn of hell could ever be considered slightly harmless?

1. Are Cane spiders real?
Yes, but have different names depending upon the region you find them in. They are known as huntsman spiders, large --banana spiders, giant crab spiders and large brown spiders. I prefer they be called extinct.
They are found mostly in subtropical climates but have infiltrated the US inside banana shipments which is why from now on I will get my potassium from a pill.
They have powerful fangs and instead of weaving webs, they stalk and capture their prey.
2. How big can a cane spider grow and what's the largest spider on record?
Although they don't grow up to 6 feet in size, they are quite large. Hence most names they've been given have the word “large” in them. They usually grow to be about one inch long and 5 inches wide, which would be small enough for my shoe to stomp them, if I wasn't hiding somewhere on a counter top. Their bites can sting quite a bit, but they don't produce enough venom to be of any danger to humans...but they still don't deserve to live. The world's largest spider is the Goliath Bird Eater which can have a leg span up to 11 inches and weigh almost ½ a pound.
3. What kind of jerke thinks a 6 foot wide 8 legged fanged spawn of hell could ever be considered slightly harmless?
Yes, I know I'm starting to obsess over that comment but have you ever seen a spider They're all scary and have no need to exist...in my humble opinion that is.

So is this photo a hoax or not?

Its actually a hoax and has been around for quite some time. But for some reason its making the rounds again on Facebook and Twitter.

In the past it's been called the Angolan Witch Spider, a species of spider that doesn't actually exist.
Its in fact a Wolf spider and the picture was taken by artist Paul Santa Maria outside his Florida home in 2011.
The artist then got creative with Photoshop and uploaded the photo to his Facebook page asking his followers “Sure you want to move to Florida?”

The image of course went viral and to answer how he made it Paul uploaded a video to his youtube account in 2013 showing exactly how.
