The Light Above The Lake (short men in black film)

Sam goes fishing and catches something he wasn't supposed to see. A strange man dressed in black comes knocking and his reality is warped forever.
"The Light Above The Lake" was my attempt at depicting men in black encounters as described in UFO lore (particularly John Keel's work), aiming to capture the surreal, disturbing weirdness of the whole phenomena. Shot over the course of 2 days, with pickups, it was an almost 0-budget effort where my friends pulled out all the stops to help. It was also (clearly!) my first foray into VFX, banking on some Star Trek, David Lynch cheesiness to get by my lack of skill.
