Gear repair 1

As you can see some gears on my lathe needs to be repaired in a better way than they have been repaired before. It's the reverse gears and one gear on the headspindle.

My plan is to mill out a pocket on the gear where I need a new teeth and mill out a suitable bit of cast iron and then braze the new part in and when that’s done, cut a new gear teeth on my mill.

And by the way, the lathe is a Blomqvist and it is a swedish clone of a South Bend lathe. My Blomqvist lathe was manufactured back in 1955.
