Hendey Gear Repair

Now with increased volume! Hopefully. Repairing a pinon gear on a Hendey lathe that was built in June of 1910. The broken tooth was ground out and filled with silicon bronze braze and the tooth recut. For information on how to do this repair I watched several videos by Keith Fenner and Keith Rucker. This was my first attempt at cutting gear teeth and silicon bronze brazing. Thanks to youtube creators that are willing to share their expertise, the rest of us can tackle things that would have been very difficult to learn before the advent of this technology.
