2 view Abdomen imaging
Instructions on performing a standard 2-view abdomen. We start with the upright, then go to the table and perform an AP projection with the patient supine. If the upright images display air under the diaphragms, it could indicate a perforated bowel. If there are air-fluid levels demonstrated in the small intestine, it could indicate a bowel obstruction! If you work in emergency medicine, you'll do a lot of these images and get good at it.
