Target interactions with the IR
This is a more technical video describing the target interactions of x-ray photons with the IMAGE RECEPTORS we use in CR and DR. This video assumes a fair to strong foundation on the part of the student. We're primarily talking here about why we use certain materials for CR and DR imaging plates and why almost all companies that make DR plates use the 2 step process involving a scintillator coupled to a photocathode despite the issue of light spread.
