Salmon Alevinator - Fry Stage - August 2017 (At 4k Resolution)

NZ Salmon Anglers check to see if the baby salmon have successfully grown from the Alevin stage (with egg-sack) to the Fry stage (no egg-sack), and to check that they have started making their way out of the Alevinator and into the spawning stream. One Scotty-Box is also opened to check the hatch-rate. Only a few dead eggs remain in the Box that was opened. Over the next week or so, the remaining Fry should have made their way up the outlet-pipe, down the chute and should be feeding merrily in the many sheltered eddies and bays just downstream of the Alevinator.
