BETTE DAVIS "ALL THIS....AND HEAVEN, TOO" TRIBUTE

In honor of the first Valentine's Day of the new decade, this is my tribute to the classic Anatole Litvak film "All This....And Heaven, Too", starring the legendary Miss Bette Davis and Charles Boyer. The film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, was one of Warner Bros.' top-grossing films of 1940, and remains among the most beloved of all Bette Davis films among her legion of fans.

This video was originally edited to synchronize with a very specific, very appropriate song by Madonna, which was removed for copyright infringement. As an alternative, I present the same video with a new soundtrack, making ironic use of heavy metal to describe the raging pain and repression beneath the silent love that Davis & Boyer share in this film. The song is called "My Bleeding Heart" by the German band At Vance, and I hope the surprising choice may prompt surprising enjoyment.
