Winnebago Travato Ceramic Coating

In this video we are ceramic coating a new 2021 Winnebago Travato. Built off the Ram Pro Master 3500 models, converted into a Winnebago. The customer is very interested in keeping this vehicle looking new for many years to come. Because he will be traveling the county for work, he was originally attracted to a ceramic coating for protection to keep the exterior looking new. He was unaware that a ceramic coating could be installed on interior surfaces as well. This winnebago will be his mobile office, and due to the lightly colored leather seats, the client is concerned about dye transfer. Coating the leather seats will protect the leather, extend the life, and make cleaning the surface simple and easy.
It's not very easy or convenient to have a larger vehicle like this one cleaned very often. Add to that the abuse it gets from cross county travel, and this vehicle can quickly become neglected. Driving across multiple states, the surfaces begin to pick up all kinds of organic and inorganic matter that are native to one type of environment. All of these soils find away to your vehicles surface from the static bond that is created when racking up the miles. The more driving you do, the more dirty you attract. Due to the size of the this vehicle, it not something that you can just run though a tunnel car wash. A touch-less truck wash may be a good option, or even better, a hand car wash equipped to handle larger van's like this winnebago coming in at 21 feet long and 9 and 1/2 feet tall. A good ceramic coating will add protection unmatched by a wax or paint sealant. Ceramic coatings are different because they crate a chemical bond to the paint and increase surface tension keeping many contaminants in suspension. Because of this they take on a "self cleaning" characteristics. Driving through a heavy rain storm will certainly wash away most if not all of the bugs that may have accumulated on the paint and glass. Ceramic coating all exterior surfaces like the paint, wheels, glass, and textured plastics will keep the surface cleaner for longer intervals. When it's time for a scheduled maintenance wash, ceramic coatings make exterior cleaning smile and fun.

In my long career of detailing, many clients come looking for exterior buffing and polishing when the paint is past the point of no return. If you fail to keep up with your vehicles finish it can lead to premature paint failure. Most of which can be repaired, however it is usually followed by a hefty price tag. All of this could have been avoided if the proper care had been taken from the beginning like this client chose to do. Protecting his investment from new, will keep it looking new for many years to come.
