What You Must do Before You Ever Consider Soft Proofing

Before you can begin to use the SoftProofing feature in Photoshop, Lightroom or Qimage, you to have these three things Nailed Down!

1: Your Printer MUST be able to produce a perfect print from an UN EDITED and UNALTERED "STANDARD IMAGE".
letting the Printer Driver control color.

2: You Monitor MUST be calibrated with a HardWare Calibrator to the proper Luminance for your editing ambient conditions as well as color accuracy.

3: You have to be able to now print a perfect print from your now Edited Images using the same driver settings you used to print the STANDARD IMAGE!

4 : Now and only now can you rely on softproofing to simulate how a given ICC profile will affect your image before you commit to PRINT!
