Hurricane Ida: Search and rescue continues in Louisiana as storm moves northeast
Ida was downgraded to a tropical storm on Monday, but not before the powerful Category 4 storm roared ashore on the southeastern cost of Louisiana over the weekend.
The storm flooded homes and left one million people without power across the state. At least one person was confirmed dead, when they were hit by a falling tree outside of Baton Rouge.
Officials are now surveying the damage from the powerful storm, but Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards says fortunately, the levee system that failed during Hurricane Katrina held up. Ross Hull reports on the rescue efforts.
