Applying Pressure Boosting in Plumbing Systems
Let’s take a walk into the world of pressure boosting. It is a pleasure to welcome two Grundfos gurus, Adam Koontz and Reece Robinson, to the webinar series. They join forces to explain to our audience the science of pressure boosting in typical residential and commercial applications.
You'll learn:
→ What is Pressure Boosting and why are Pressure Boosters needed?
→ Are there secrets to sizing? What impact do standards have on pump size?
→ Efficiency and Control Methods: the Old way, the Bad way, the Right way!
→ What’s required in a high-rise building? Can I lose the PRVs?
→ BIG home, small incoming water line. Is 30 GPM possible?
→ NPSHr; what is it?
→ What are common mistakes to avoid when applying boosters?
Adam is a District Sales Manager for the Grundfos HVAC OEM team. Holding a B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology and an MBA, he is steeped in engineering and sales experience including positions with AES (Associated Equipment Sales, Kansas City) and nearly a decade at Grundfos. His well-rounded background combined with his concise presentation style is a win-win for our audience.
Reece is the Building Services Technical Content Manager for Grundfos. A mechanical engineer (B.S., California State University, Fresno) with over 20 years' invested at Grundfos, he has held positions in product engineering, product management, technical training and has led the inside sales applications engineering team. Our audience will thoroughly enjoy his rapid fire of knowledge that he will enthusiastically share!
