Kebu - The Lunar Effect (Yamaha S30 demo) #shorts #throwbackthursday

Back in 2011 I had started working on my debut album To Jupiter and Back when I came up with this tune called "The Lunar Effect".

Back then I liked doing demos using only one synth, and this time my #yamahas30 was in turn. This is quite a flexible synth, but I really pushed it by also mixing the whole song inside the synth. The synth was sequenced using Cubase and the final song was recorded straight to 2-track tape from the synth in one go. The video was later compiled showing how the various parts were played or programmed. The tune ended up on my album, but reworked using only analog synths, string & drum machines.
