Editors - Papillon (cover by Kebu on a Roland Alpha Juno 1) #tbt #shorts

Throwback Thursday! Back in 2010 the first videos I made had a very minimalistic approach, using mostly only one synth. I really liked the tune "Papillon" by Editors, and got an idea of making a cover of it using only my Roland Alpha Juno. Turned out pretty good, although the Juno is definitely not a synth I would use for making drum sounds (except for timpanis, which can sound surprisingly good on the Juno for an analog synth). I used an overdrive (Boss BD-2) for some sounds, otherwise it was only the Alpha Juno with the help of EQ, compression and delay. Definitely minimalistic!
