Engineering Yeast to Glow Green in UV to Make Glowing Beer/Wine

Genetic engineering is this summers hot topic and for good reason - IT'S AWESOME. To get the basic concepts down we'll be working through a kit from a company called "The Odin" which supplies kits and materials for learning the basics of genetic engineering. This first kit takes you through the process of inserting new DNA into yeast that makes them produce a protein that glows green under black light. The yeast are perfectly safe to eat so they can be used to make glowing beverages.
