This is what I wish people knew before making the move to Idaho. ⬇️

‌1. All of the amazing mountain, lake and river scenes that you see advertised on Instagram are just a short drive up north of the treasure valley. That is where the really amazing picturesque mountains and rivers are. Some people are confused when they get here for the first time expecting it to be a bit more scenic in the Boise area.

2. Downtown Boise really is as clean as advertised. I do a lot of traveling each year and Boise is the cleanest city I’ve been to.

3. Idaho is so much more than potatoes and farms. I’ve lived here for 27 years and I still haven’t explored everything there is to do in Idaho. I would not consider Idaho flyover state by any means.
