I wasn’t prepared for this. ⬇️
Being in real estate is all about leads and networking first and foremost. They didn’t teach us about how that would work in real estate school. At least not 15 years ago.
Doing the actual job of helping people buy and sell real estate actually came secondary. I realized really quick that I would be spending a majority of my time prospecting, calling, texting, and emailing people in the hopes of finding someone who needed a realtor.
Fast forward to 2025 and there is a new way of finding leads, and it’s way more organic than any other method I have ever found. It’s social media and it’s a total game changer. Just in 2025 alone I have helped 16 people and counting buy or sell a house and I met them directly on Instagram.
It didn’t happen overnight and there is a method to this madness. But it is something that shouldn’t be ignored at this point if you want break away from grinding away cold calling, being rejected, door knocking, and hosting open houses. Those methods work just fine, but wouldn’t it be cool if people knocked on your door asking for help?
That is what this is. It’s an organic form of prospecting where you just be yourself and people who resonate with you and your personality choose to work with you. There is still prospecting involved. There is still work. But it’s the most rewarding form of prospecting and work that I have found in my 10 year career.
If you want to jump into social media fully, there is a course that I took that helped me get to where I am today. Jenna Peterson teaches it and I promise if you implement everything she teaches just like I did, you will experience the same results as me if you stick with the plan.
