The VAT Refund available for all Tourists in Thailand - Walkthrough - 2015

A step-by-step guide of how to claim your VAT Refund back from purchases made in Thailand on your holiday. Please feel free to pause the video at 0:29 for the excellent sign summarising what you need to do. Also included at the end are the receipts and photos of the form you have to complete.

For this refund I purchased a Gopro Hero 4 Silver camera at MBK and got my refund at Don Muang International Airport, Bangkok. There are additional fees to pay so instead of 7% it was more like 5.5% refunded in Thai Baht.

Allow 15 minutes extra at departures to stamp your PP10 form and collecting your money after passing immigration.

The 8 Airports you can collect from are:

Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok
Don Muang, Bangkok
Chiang Mai
Phuket
Hat Yai
U-Tapao
Krabi
Koh Samui

Some of the names and serial numbers are blurred out in this video for obvious reasons.

Notice the couple who didn't stamp their form BEFORE checking in for their flight, and didn't receive any money for their refund. Do not do this.

At Suvarabhumi Airport the Tourist Refund Information and Customs Inspection are located between entrance doors 4 and 5 at departures, floor 4.

Most tourists will purchase something of value on holiday so it really is free money for filling in a couple of forms.
