In this video I have tried to explain the business model of Indian Premier league T20 Cricket.
A lot of times people wonder that how exactly does an IPL team earns its revenue.
Teams buy their players and creates a squad at the cost of Rs. 85 crores.
But the Price Money is only Rs.20 crores and that too only if they win.
Runner up gets 12.5 crores.
Rest of the teams gets nothing.

In the beginning I have tried to explain the process of Auction of players.
Teams have the budget of Rs.85 Crores.
They can create a squad of maximum of 25 players out of which maximum of 8 players can be the overseas players.

So what are the sources of income for IPL teams?
Following sources have been discussed in the video
1. Broadcasting rights
2. Brand Sponsorship.
3. Title Sponsorship - DLF IPL, VIVO IPL, PEPSI IPL, DREAM11 IPL.
4. Ticket Sale
5. Merchandise sale
6. Stalls
7. Price Money.

Apart from this, the expenses of various teams have been discussed.
Expenses like player fees, fees of coaches, Salaries of Support staff, Travel expenses, Hotel Expenses, Team Advertisements, etc.

This initiative has benefited India.
It adds some amount of money to GDP of Country.
Creates auxiliary jobs, Infrastructure, new source of entertainment and provides an opportunity for new comers to learn new techniques from senior international players.
