Philippe Friedlich, MD
As head of the Neonatal & Infant Critical Care Unit at CHLA, Dr. Friedlich is involved in multiple research projects aimed at improving the care of high-risk infants. One of his current projects includes crowd sourcing of epidemiological data on the many cases of rare diseases to help doctors identify the most effective current modalities of treatment that lead to the best outcomes. Another of his research projects involves using therapeutic hypothermia to treat babies who have suffered cardiac arrest to mitigate the potential for brain damage.
