Fishing in the Desert?! 1st Time Bass Fishing at Lake Mead

This weekend we are off to get a line wet and try my hand at catching some bass over at Lake Mead National Recreation area. Its about $25 to enter the park (unless you have the America the Beautiful pass which in that case its FREE access) and located 20 minutes outside of Las Vegas.

This is the first time I've ever gone fishing and targeted Bass specifically. I started out over at Hemenway Harbor fishing pier area and ended up on the other side of the lake off Government wash road. There are a ton of easy access points to get to the lake in these areas (in case you want to launch a kayak which I will do next time!)

I spent the morning checking out a few different spots and caught on to a few fish!
