Hail Storm and Flash Flood at Lake Powell

This takes place at Lake Powell, Utah on a 60ft houseboat in small canyon across from the opening of the Escalante river arm in July of 2001, a sudden heavy rain and hail storm caught us off guard as we were pelted with what felt like gravel falling from the sky. The beginning of the footage takes place at the back deck of the houseboat. With all the water coming down, I wondered what was happening at the front of the houseboat...

The video doesn't show it, but the front desk of the houseboat was covered with mud and rocks after the flood.
